description

The current hall church was built in the 19th century using parts of the previous building from the late Romanesque or early Gothic period. In the east, the apse of the previous building was rebuilt so that it is still preserved as a semicircle inside. An eight-sided roof turret rises from the slate-covered hip roof , which is provided with sound arcades in the lowest part . In the belfry hangs a church bell that was cast by Johann Meyer from Rudolstadt in 1789. A bulbous hood sits on it , which is continued in an intermediate part. It is covered with a small hood that ends in a tower ball .

The interior , which is covered with a flat ceiling , is surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped, single-storey gallery that carries the organ to the west . This has 7 registers , on a manual and a pedal , and was built in the 19th century by an unknown organ builder . The parapets were painted in an older time. The main part of the otherwise simple church furnishings is the pulpit altar . It is adorned with three pictures, above the altar plate the Last Supper , on the right the Crucifixion , on the left the Resurrection .
