description
The choir tower of the baroque hall church has been preserved from a medieval building. The bell tower , whose bell storey is slated, has a dome crowned by a lantern , both of which are also slated. The nave , which is covered with a cripple hip, was largely redesigned in 1818. The nave is spanned by a hollow vault and is equipped with two-storey galleries . There is an altar table in front of the pulpit altar , which is no longer used today .
The church has a stone baptismal font with an arched frieze from the 13th century. The crucifix also dates from this century .
The first organ from 1741 with 1620 organ pipes and 23 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , comes from Johann Heinrich Ruppert. The second organ was built as a modification of the first in 1823 by Ernst Ludwig Hesse from the Hesse family of organ builders .
