Community structure

The rural community consists of the districts Ballstädt , Brüheim , Bufleben , Friedrichswerth , Goldbach , Haina , Hausen , Hochheim , Pfullendorf , Remstädt , Wangenheim , Warza and Westhausen .

history

As part of the voluntary mergers of the regional reforms in 2018 and 2019, eleven of the member communities of the Mittleres Nessetal administrative community agreed on a merger on January 1, 2019. Sonneborn did not go along with this step and became the commissioning community of Nessetal.

Mayoress

In the first mayoral election of the municipality of Nessetal on May 26, 2019 , Eva-Marie Schuchardt, the candidate of the Free Voters Nessetal , prevailed against three other competitors with 54.8% of the valid votes in the first ballot with a turnout of 68.1% .
