The Protestant village church Zieckau is a hall church in Zieckau , a district of the city of Luckau in the district of Dahme-Spreewald in Brandenburg .

history

The sacred building was probably built from field stones in the late 14th century . 1766 Advanced congregation the building a tower and a Patronatsloge . During the Second World War the church was damaged and the equipment of Russian soldiers was destroyed. The repairs were carried out in 1950 and restoration in 1998, which was temporarily completed in 2004 with a new painting of the interior.

The nave was built from uncut field stones, which are massive in the lower area. On the south wall of the church there is a large, segment-arched window in the middle with a lightly plastered bottle . To the right of this opening is a simple portal, also highlighted with a fascia. Between these two elements the outlines of a raised window closed with light brick can be seen. Another, smaller window is to the right of the gate. This is followed by a two-story half-timbered extension in the east , the compartment of which is filled with light-colored clay. On its southern side there is a wooden door on the ground floor with a rectangular window above it. The choir is straight and designed with a group of three windows, with the middle window showing its original lancet shape, while the other two windows have been redesigned in Baroque style. The gable was also built from field stones and filled with fragments of the wall. On the north side of the nave are two segment-arched windows. The simple west tower is clad with dark boards. There are two rectangular sound arcades on the upper floor .

The pulpit altar dates from 1727 and originally stood in the hospital chapel in Luckau. It was moved to the building in 1952 and consists of an aedicule with paired Ionic columns on which an entablature decorated with acanthus rests. The pulpit is decorated with wooden flower pendants. The altar painting is by Ewald Vetter .

The horseshoe gallery is shortened in the south flared and formed to the west to make room for the organ of Eduard Glietsch to create. Access to the pulpit altar is possible from the eastern gallery. Below the north gallery is a wall painting consisting of a rectangular field with a crucifix from the 16th or 17th century. The patronage box is used as a winter church in the 21st century .

In the church there is also a tombstone for Oppitius von Bomstorff, who died in 1623 . A stone atonement cross stands in front of the church .
