Doris Hahn (born February 2, 1981 in Klosterneuburg ) is an Austrian politician of the SPÖ . She was a member of the Lower Austrian State Parliament from May 21, 2015 , and has been a member of the Federal Council sent by the State Parliament of Lower Austria since March 22, 2018 .

education and profession

Hahn attended elementary school in Königstetten from 1987 to 1991 and the secondary school in Tulln from 1991 to 1995 . Then she moved to the Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium in Vienna, where she passed the Matura in 1999 . From 1999 Hahn completed a degree in mathematics , music education and computer science at the Pedagogical Academy in Vienna, which she successfully completed in 2002.

Hahn started her career as a teacher in 2002 at the Cooperative Middle School Pöchlarnstrasse in Vienna- Brigittenau , where she worked until 2010. Further stations were the secondary schools in Fischamend and Atzenbrugg-Heiligeneich .

From 2008 to 2009 she completed training as a practical teacher at the Church of Education University in Vienna.

In 2012 Hahn completed her master’s degree at the University of Education Vienna for European Management in Education with a focus on media management . Since 2014 she has been attending the Master’s course in Educational Leadership at Danube University Krems .

Hahn has been the IT supervisor for compulsory schools in the Tulln district and coordinator for “School Quality General Education” (SQA) at the Bilingual Middle School for New Methods and Media in Zwentendorf an der Donau since 2012 . In addition, she gives lectures at the Lower Austria University of Education in the field of game-based learning and eLearning .

Political career

Hahn gained his first political experience in 2006 in her home town of Königstetten when she was co-opted into the town council . From 2007 to 2015 she was an executive councilor on the council . After the municipal council elections in 2015 , she is again a councilor.

In addition, Hahn has been the local party chairman of the SPÖ Königstetten since 2012, an educational councilor since 2013, since 2014 the staff representative for compulsory school teachers in the Tulln district, since 2014 deputy chairwoman of the SPÖ district organization Tulln and since 2014 deputy chairwoman of the social democratic teachers' association of the Tulln district group.

On May 21, 2015, Hahn was sworn in as a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament as the successor to Günter Kraft .
