Dorschhausen is a district of the town of Bad Wörishofen in the Swabian district of Unterallgäu .
Around 1300 the place then called Dornshausen belonged to the cathedral chapter of Augsburg . At the instigation of Duke Friedrich von Teck, lord of the Mindelheim rulership , the collection of the Vogt tax at Dornhawsen was transferred to the Mindelheim Augustinian monastery . The cathedral chapter sold the largely devastated property at Dorschhausen in 1427 to the Teck court master Konrad Hainzel. Around 1800 six farms, one Hube and two estates were registered that belonged to the Mindelheim rulership. The community of Dorschhausen owned a forge and a shepherd's house; the parish church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary (consecrated in 1415) had a rectory.
On December 1, 1910, 223 residents were registered in the municipality of Dorschhausen in the Mindelheim district office. On May 1, 1978, the community was incorporated into the city of Bad Wörishofen as part of the state- wide regional reform . The last mayor before incorporation was Herbert Wagner. Today Dorschhausen has 697 inhabitants.
