Can (landscape shape)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Several small moors in northwest Germany are referred to as cans , which, in contrast to the large moors of the region such as the Bourtanger Moor and the huge moor area between Papenburg and the Ammerland, are surrounded by the Geest .

The largest is the under nature conservation standing Tinner and Staverner box between Meppen and Hümmling .

Another can is the Theikenmeer nature reserve , which is named after the enclosed small lake.

The Bockholter Dose nature reserve between Bockholte , Vrees and Lindern is the common headwaters of the Marka rivers (to the northeast) and Mittelradde . The conservation area Ginger Dose east of alleviating, headwaters of Südradde , and the nature reserve Molberger box with drain eastward to Soeste go seamlessly into one another.
