Dozin 'at the Knick is a Live - triple album of the band Grateful Dead .

history

The songs on the album were recorded at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany , New York . Recordings from three consecutive shows from March 24-26, 1990 were used. On October 29, 1996, the album was released by their own label Grateful Dead Records and the Arista label. This makes it the first album since Grayfolded that was not exclusively distributed by its own label.

At the time of the concert, Grateful Dead was still under Arista's contract, so she had the rights to market the songs. From the same concert series comes the album Without a Net (1990), which contains songs from various concerts from October 1989 to April 1990, and the album Terrapin Station (Limited Edition) (1997), which was released during a show on March 15 Was inducted into the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland in 1990.

For the album, the entire second set was made on March 24th, the second half of the second set on March 25th, and most of the first set on March 26th. In general, the show on the 24th is considered the best of the three appearances. This is especially true for Mud Love Buddy Jam . The song is an alienated and independent version of Your Mind Has Left Your Body , written by Paul Kantner ( Jefferson Airplane ).
