The duisport rail GmbH is a railway company (PSC), based in Duisburg in North Rhine-Westphalia . The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of duisport and was founded in April 2001 as a public railway company. The company headquarters is in Duisburg-Duissern .

As a railway infrastructure company, Duisburger Hafen AG operates a public network of 200 km of track. The authorization as RU for freight transport has existed since January 18, 2001 and is valid until December 31, 2015. It operates rail freight services in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Infrastructure

The main locations of duisport rail are Duisburg-Duissern, Duisburg-Ruhrorter Häfen and Rheinhausen . Duisport has eight locomotives at the Duisburg-Duissern location. There are also two locomotives in the Duisburg Ruhrort marshalling yard and three locomotives in Rheinhausen. In 2009, 350,000 t of goods were transported.
