history

Dyas on the wind

In 1970 the Dyas was designed as a two-man keelboat by Helmut Stöberl (who also developed the Monas , Trias , Condor 55 and Condor 70 as well as Akros and Fighter ). In 1973 the German Sailing Association recognized it as a national class . The development as a single class should promote sporting competition. Furthermore, the influence of the material should be as small as possible. The fuselage is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic ( GRP ), the mast and boom are made of lightweight aluminum .

description

The Dyas is a keelboat with a trapeze and spinnaker . Despite the extensive equipment with lots of trim options, the Dyas is not only a sporty, fast regatta ship, but also a safe family boat and training ship for learning to sail. The boat can be easily towed on the road with a medium-sized car . A crane is usually required for watering - the slipway that is common on smaller boats can only rarely be used due to the fixed keel and the depth of 1.10 meters.

Regatta and races

Regattas for the Dyas are held in most of the areas in Germany , Switzerland , Austria and the Netherlands . The European Cup , which is sailed on Lake Garda every year, is also particularly attractive .
