action

Dylan Dog, the main character in an Italian comic book, is a private investigator. He works together with his friend and partner Marcus on rather unspectacular cases until one day the young Elizabeth calls him and asks him to come over. She explains to him that something supernatural had murdered her father and points to a business card from him. It says “No Pulse? No Problem! ”, It comes from a time when Dylan was still dealing with topics like zombies and vampires. But he had left this life behind due to the death of his girlfriend at the time, so he refused the assignment. However, when his partner Marcus is also murdered later, he accepts the order.

The trail leads Dylan to the werewolf family Cysnos, more precisely to the daughter of the clan chief. When she is also murdered, he initially suspects a young vampire . However, this was the friend of the werewolf girl and is also murdered by a zombie . Meanwhile, Marcus, Dylan's partner, has also become a zombie and finds it difficult to come to terms with his new situation, but accompanies Dylan in his investigations.

In the course of further research, Dylan finds out that both the vampires and the werewolves are after a piece of jewelry, the Heart of Belial , which, when used correctly, gives the owner power over a demon called Belial . Dylan finally manages to get the piece of jewelry, but is then captured by Vargas, the vampire clan chief. With the heart of Belial, he tries to transform Elizabeth, the client, into Belial. But it turns out that Elizabeth is actually a demon hunter and would like to use Belial for her own purposes. She succeeds in transforming Vargas into Belial. However, this does not obey her and tries in turn to kill Dylan. Only when Elizabeth is killed by werewolves does Belial lose its power and is transferred back to the jewel. Dylan gives the jewelry to the werewolves for safekeeping. The film ends with Dylan turning his zombie-turned friend, Marcus, into a full partner in his detective agency and wanting to take on more mysterious cases again in the future.
