Dzielnica II Grzegórzki is the second district of Krakow in Poland , this covers an area of 5.85 km² and has 29,741 inhabitants with a population density of 5084 inhabitants / km². It is named after the place Grzegórzki , which was incorporated into Krakow in 1910.
In 1954 a reorganization into six districts was introduced, the district called Grzegórzki comprised the area between the old town in the west and Nowa Huta in the east and had an area of 15.9 km² and in 1960 60,000 inhabitants. In 1973 the districts of Grzegórzki and Stare Miast (Old Town) were merged to create the Śródmieście (Inner City) district. The city district emerged again in 1990.
