EBS Asset Management Dayton Open 2005

The EBS Asset Management Dayton Open 2005 took place January 25-30 , 2005 in Dayton , Ohio , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2004/05 and was endowed with 40,000 US dollars. It belonged to the category 4 star .

In the final of the two top seeded players, Peter Nicol prevailed against Amr Shabana with 11: 6, 13:11 and 11: 2. Nicol won the 49th title of his career on the World Tour. Last year's winner Karim Darwish was eliminated in the semifinals against Peter Nicol.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Julian Wellings a spot in the main draw.
