Earl Rashad Clark (born January 17, 1988 in Plainfield , New Jersey ) is an American basketball player.

Career

After two years at the University of Louisville , Clark was selected 14th in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns . With the Suns he was under contract until December 2010 before he was transferred to the Orlando Magic together with Jason Richardson and Hedo Türkoğlu for Vince Carter , Mickaël Piétrus and Marcin Gortat .

During the lockout , Clark signed with the Zhejiang Lions in China, but did not play a game. On August 10, 2013, Clark was transferred to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of a large trade that included four teams and 11 players, including Dwight Howard and Andre Iguodala . Clark was often on the starting line-up for the Lakers as a replacement for the injured Pau Gasol and impressed with good performances. He achieved personal career bests with 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

On July 12, 2013, Clark signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers . Clark only played for the Cavs until February 2014, before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers just before the transfer deadline . In return, Spencer Hawes moved to Cleveland. He was released from the Sixers shortly afterwards and signed a 10-day contract with the New York Knicks a few days later .

For the 2014/2015 season, Clark signed with the Memphis Grizzlies , but was waived a short time later . Clark then moved to China to join the Shandong Lions .

In March 2015, Earl Clark moved back to the NBA and signed a 2-year contract with a team option with the Brooklyn Nets , which was terminated in the summer of 2015.
