Spencer Mason Reynvaan-Hawes (born April 28, 1988 in Seattle , Washington ) is a retired American basketball player who was last active for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA . He plays on the position of the center .
college
Hawes played for the Washington Huskies, the University of Washington basketball team . In college he was the team's best scorer with 14.9 points per game, making him the tenth best scorer in the Pacific-10 Conference .
NBA
Hawes was selected 10th in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings . In his first season he played 71 games and started eight times, on average he played 13.1 minutes. He achieved an average of 4.7 points, 3.3 rebounds with a field throw rate of 45.9%. In his second NBA season, Hawes was a regular in his position, as Brad Miller had been transferred to the Chicago Bulls . Nevertheless, the season ended prematurely for him because he sustained a knee injury.
For the 2010/11 season he was traded by the Kings along with Andrés Nocioni to the Philadelphia 76ers . In return, Samuel Dalembert moved to the Kings.
Hawes ran for the 76ers until February 2014. Shortly before the end of the transfer deadline, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers . In return, the 76ers received forward Earl Clark and 2 picks in the upcoming draft . After the 2013/2014 season, he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers .
On July 15, 2015, Hawes and his teammate Matt Barnes were traded against Lance Stephenson to the Charlotte Hornets .
In February 2017, Hawes and Roy Hibbert were transferred to the Milwaukee Bucks for Miles Plumlee . He was released from the Bucks on September 1, 2017.
