East Atlantic Beach is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County , New York , United States . At the time of the United States Census 2010 , there were 2049 residents here. The hamlet belongs to the Town of Hempstead , which is one of the three towns in Nassau County.

East Atlantic Beach's geographic coordinates are 40 ° 35 ′  N , 73 ° 42 ′  W (40.588004, −73.705925). The place is one of six places on Long Beach Barrier Island , a barrier island off the south side of Long Island , between the Atlantic Ocean in the south and Reynolds Channel on in the north. Adjacent to the west is Atlantic Beach and to the east is Long Beach .

According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of ​​1.8 km 2 , of which 0.78 km 2 is land and 1 km 2 (= 55.88%) is water.
