Eberhard von Mallinckrodt

Eberhard von Mallinckrodt (* before 1600 ; † July 27, 1658 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and cathedral cantor as well as cathedral waiter in the Duchy of Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Eberhard von Mallinckrodt was the son of Heinrich von Mallinckrodt zu Küchen and Dahlhausen (1548-1628) and his wife Remberta von Krevet zu Alfen († 1625) of the Westphalian noble family von Mallinckrodt from the county of Mark , named after the ancestral home of Burg Mallinckrodt . He was the brother of the cathedral dean Bernhard von Mallinckrodt , who was removed from his office because of a conflict with his nephew, the Prince-Bishop von Galen , and arrested and detained in Ottenstein Castle , where he died before his excommunication was lifted. His other brother Heinrich was cathedral vicar in Münster and cathedral cantor in Osnabrück. His brother Rembert was married to Agnes von Freitag. They were the parents of Canon Bernhard von Mallinckrodt .

Act

On March 19, 1630 Eberhard was sworn on the families Mallinckrodt, Oer, Krevet and Wendt . On April 23, 1638 he received the minor ordinations and was ordained a subdeacon two days later . On June 12, 1640 he received diplomatic commissions from the elector . The unanimous election as cathedral waiter fell on April 13, 1643. On December 12, 1652, Eberhard opted for the archdeaconate Albersloh with the associated cathedral choir. The electoral confirmation for this office came on January 11, 1653.
