The Ebersberg is 462.1 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the southern Palatinate Forest . It is located in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Südliche Weinstrasse in the Dahner Felsenland , a part of the Wasgau formed by the southern part of the Palatinate Forest and the northern part of the Vosges . The mountain is completely forested.
location
The mountain is about 1.5 km west of Rehberg and about 3.6 km south of Annweiler. The Ebersbach flows west of the mountain towards the Queich . About 0.7 km to the east is the striking red sandstone rock Asselstein . The district boundaries of the municipalities of Annweiler , Wernersberg and Völkersweiler run across the mountain , with the southern part in the district of Völkersweiler, the north-western part in the district of Wernersberg and the northeastern part in the district of Annweiler.
Access and hiking
The top of the mountain is not accessible via hiking trails. However, hiking trails in the Trifelsland hiking area lead over and around the mountain . On the north and south-west slopes there are two viewpoints, the Trifelsblick and the Wasgaublick , which offer a far-reaching view of the Queichtal , the group of castles on the Trifels and the Middle Palatinate Forest with the striking Großer Adelberg in the foreground and the northern Wasgau.
