Edgar Sitzmann

Edgar Sitzmann (born January 13, 1935 in Bamberg ) is a German local politician ( CSU ) and was district council president of the Upper Franconia district from 1982 to 2003.

Life and work

Edgar Sitzmann is a teacher by training . In 1957 he went to the elementary school in Untersteinach , since 1969 he worked in Burgwindheim . From 1991 he was principal at the Hugo von Trimberg School in Bamberg.

He was first mayor of the municipality of Untersteinach from 1967 to 1972 and later of the market Burgwindheim . He was a member of the district council of the district of Bamberg and the district council of Upper Franconia before he was elected district council president of the district of Upper Franconia in 1982 . For 18 years he was also Vice President of the Bavarian District Assembly.

Honorary positions

Denzler held several honorary functions. Among other things, he was 2nd Federal Chairman of the Franconian Federation .
