Edgar Swinne

Edgar Meinhard Swinne (born December 24, 1936 in Berlin ; † October 30, 2018 ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Swinne attended high school and graduated from high school in 1958 . In the same year he joined the FDP in the Spandau district and studied at the Berlin University of Education . After the two state examinations, he entered the Berlin school service in 1966. In the Berlin election in 1967 he was elected to the district assembly in Spandau. In the 1979 election he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. A short time later, Swinne became rector first at the comprehensive secondary school in Kreuzberg and then at the Poelchau secondary school in Berlin-Charlottenburg-Nord . After the end of the legislative period in 1985, he left parliament .

Later Swinne was a city councilor in Liebenwalde and also chairman of the local FDP.
