Edgar von Schmidt-Pauli (diplomat)

Edgar von Schmidt-Pauli (born October 4, 1915 in Charlottenburg ; † February 28, 2001 in Zuoz ) was a German diplomat .

Life

Edgar von Schmidt-Pauli was a son of the writer of the same name Edgar von Schmidt-Pauli . From 1934 to 1936 he was a member of the SS . He received his doctorate in law in 1940 . Edgar von Schmidt-Pauli passed the second legal state examination in 1950 and entered the foreign service . From 1957 to 1960 von Schmidt-Pauli was accredited at the embassy in Oslo, where he was promoted to first class councilor in 1958.

In 1970 Edgar von Schmidt-Pauli was envoy to the United Nations in New York City .
