Edmond Jitangar

Edmond Jitangar (born November 2, 1952 in Bekoro , Chad ) is a Chadian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of N'Djaména .

Life

Edmond Jitangar received on 30 December 1978, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 11, 1991, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Sarh . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Jozef Tomko , donated him episcopal ordination on February 2, 1992 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Moundou , Matthias N'Gartéri Mayadi , and the Bishop Emeritus of Sarh, Henri Véniat SJ .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of N'Djaména on August 20, 2016.
