Eduard Bauch (born February 8, 1876 in Würzburg , † April 30, 1936 in Bad Kissingen ) was Mayor of Bad Kissingen from 1917 to 1919 .

Life

Eduard Bauch was the son of the brewery owner Gabriel Bauch. He studied law and was then district office assessor in Vohenstrauss , Dillingen and Würzburg . Then he was a government assessor in the government of the Palatinate . On September 27, 1917, Bauch was elected as the successor of Theobald von Fuchs as the legally qualified mayor of the Lower Franconian city by the council of representatives of Bad Kissingen .

His term of office was marked by the food shortage and the resulting forced farming that the First World War had caused. In addition, the city bought the Lindesmühle during his tenure. As early as October 4, 1918, Bauch announced his resignation in a letter to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and asked to be reinstated in the civil service. When the revolution broke out in Bavaria shortly afterwards and a workers 'and soldiers' council was formed in Bad Kissingen on November 12, 1918 , Bauch was already a mayor on call. In April 1919, Bauch took up a position as a government assessor with the government of the Palatinate in Speyer .
