Eduard Fleck

Eduard Fleck (born September 15, 1804 in Pförten , † April 8, 1879 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Eduard Fleck was the son of the Polish court counselor and imperial Countess Brühl's councilor in Pförten Carl Adolph Fleck and his wife Henriette nee Fritze. On January 9, 1833, in Neuhaldensleben, he married Carlonie Henriette Schirmann, the daughter of the chief magistrate August Heinrich Schirmann .

Fleck attended the Latin school in Greussen, the monastery school in Roßleben and then studied law in Tübingen, Halle and Berlin. During his studies he became a member of the fraternity of sources in Halle in 1822 . In 1826 he entered the civil service as an Auskulaor in Neuhaldensleben. In 1828 he became a trainee lawyer and in 1829 a garrison auditor in Magdeburg. From 1831 he was also a higher regional court assessor there. In 1835 he was a member of the General Auditorium in Berlin with the title of Real Justice Council . From 1842 he was an unskilled worker in the Prussian War Ministry and a member of the General Auditorium. In 1848 he became a lecturing council with the title Privy War Council, from 1855 Real Secret War Council. From 1851 he was legal advisor at the War Ministry , from 1854 to 1879 a member of the State Council and in 1857 general auditor of the Prussian army .

Fleck took an active part in the preparatory work on all of the Prussian military laws and ordinances issued since 1843 and was a teacher of military law at the Prussian War Academy in Berlin for a long number of years . Fleck edited the last volumes of the Prussian Military Law Collection, founded in 1835 with his participation and continued until 1867, and two addenda in 1873 and 1875.

Eduard Fleck celebrated his 50th anniversary in service on June 27, 1876, on the occasion of which he was awarded the rank of Lieutenant General , and died in Berlin on April 8, 1879 at the age of 74. He was buried in the Old St. Matthew Cemetery in Schöneberg . The grave has not been preserved.

In 1848 he was temporarily commissioner of the Prussian government at the Reich Ministry in Frankfurt am Main. In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament . From 1853 to 1854 he was a member of the First Prussian Chamber . From 1854 to 1857 and 1858 he was a member of the Second Prussian Chamber . From 1872 to 1879 he was an appointed member of the Prussian manor house. He was also a city councilor in Berlin.
