Eduard Herrmann (Bishop)

Eduard Herrmann (born December 1, 1836 in Schönfelde ; † March 3, 1916 in Frauenburg ) was a German Catholic clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Herrmann attended high schools in Hohenstein and Braunsberg and the Lyceum Hosianum in Braunsberg . In 1859 he became chaplain in Stuhm and in 1861 chaplain in Königsberg , and in 1864 Kuratus in Insterburg . From 1869 to 1898 he was pastor in Bischofsburg . Later he was also the cathedral capitular of Frauenburg. From 1901 he was auxiliary bishop in Warmia and titular bishop of Cybistra .

From 1894 to 1903 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1898 to 1903 of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag electoral district of Koenigsberg 9 and the German Center Party .
