Rudolph Borowski

Rudolph Borowski (born November 22, 1812 in Frauenburg ; † January 24, 1890 ibid) was a German politician of the German Center Party and a member of the Reichstag .

Live and act

Until 1832 Borowski attended grammar school in Braunsberg and then studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the Lyceum Hosianum there . He was ordained a priest in 1836 and was then chaplain in Marienburg . This was followed by a position as Kommendar in Marienau and Fischau until 1844. From 1844 Borowski was then pastor in Tiegenhagen and at the same time district teacher for Marienburg. In 1852 he became archpriest in Rößel and in 1867 honorary canon in Frauenburg. In 1867 he was appointed canon there and given the office of clergyman , which he resigned in 1873 due to frequent absences due to his political activities.

From 1870 to 1890 Borowski was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives in the Reichstag electoral district of Königsberg 9 . Borowski also represented the same constituency, here as the constituency Königsberg 9 (Allenstein-Rößel), in the Reichstag from 1871 to 1890 .
