Eduard Munninger (born December 6, 1901 in Gallspach ; † February 12, 1965 in Esternberg , religious name: Medardus ORC ) was an Austrian pedagogue , music functionary and author .

Krempelstein Castle / Rosicrucian

Munninger leased the Krempelstein Castle in Esternberg in the Innviertel in 1937 and, with the help of Hans Vogt (one of the inventors of the sound film) , converted the previously almost uninhabitable castle into a guesthouse and artist hostel. After the end of the war, from 1947 on, he continued to run the guesthouse and guest house in the summer months, mainly as a restaurant and wine bar.
