Edward Gabriel Risi OMI (born January 6, 1949 in Johannesburg ) is Bishop of Keimoes-Upington .
Life
Edward Gabriel Risi joined the Order of the Oblates (OMI) and the auxiliary bishop in Johannesburg , Peter Fanyana John Butelezi OMI, ordained him a priest on July 12, 1974 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Keimoes - Upington on July 5, 2000 . He was ordained episcopal on October 14th of the same year by the Archbishop of Bloemfontein , Buti Joseph Tlhagale OMI; Co- consecrators were Zithulele Patrick Mvemve , Bishop of Klerksdorp , and Anthony Chiminello OSFS , Bishop of Keetmanshoop .
