Großsorheim is a church village and district of the city Harburg (Schwaben) in the district of Donau-Ries in the administrative region of Swabia in Bavaria . The municipality also includes the village of Möggingen and the wasteland of Egermühle .
Großsorheim is already located west of Harburg in the Nördlinger Ries . The district of Möggingen is just north of the west-east running crater rim. The Eger , which comes from the west and where the Egermühle is located, flows into the Wörnitz shortly afterwards , which then flows further in a south-easterly direction. Both rivers are north of Großsorheim.
Großsorheim with its districts was an independent municipality in the district of Nördlingen and was added to the district of Nördlingen-Donauwörth, which has been called the district of Donau-Ries since May 1, 1973 , as part of the regional reform in Bavaria on July 1, 1972 . On January 1, 1976, it was incorporated into the city of Harburg (Swabia).
The Protestant parish Sankt Gallus in Großsorheim belongs to the deanery Donauwörth in the parish of Augsburg . Möggingen and Egermühle also belong to the parish.

Coming from Rohrbach , the DON 16 district road leads via Großsorheim and joins the B 25.
