Egg (also Thalgauegg and Thalgau-Egg ) is a village in the municipality of Thalgau in the Salzburg Flachgau region . With a population of 418 (as of January 1, 2020), it is the fifth largest district.

Thalgauegg is in turn divided into:
- Vorderegg ( side facing Schober ; towards Fuschl )
- Hinteregg (side facing Thalgau; direction Thalgau)
- Hundsmarkt ( side facing Fuschlsee , direction Hof bei Salzburg )
- Schoberwurzen ( side facing Schober ; directly in front of the Schober; more precisely from the Stöcklkreuzung, from the Schrofner, Kunz, Bader, Obermaier families; towards Fuschl )
