Ehrenberg is a formerly independent municipality with around 250 inhabitants, which is about six kilometers north of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .
history
Ehrenberg is first mentioned at the end of 1037 as the residence of a knight Adalbero von Perg . In 1647 the Counts of Toerring bought the place as part of the Hofmark Ritterswörth and incorporated it into their Hofmark Pörnbach .
On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Ehrenberg, founded in 1818 with the Bavarian municipal edict , lost its independence in the course of the municipal reform and was incorporated into the town of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.

The nave of the parish church of St. Ulrich was rebuilt in 1947/48 in addition to an existing, much older tower . Together with the rectory from 1857, the church is a listed building.
