reception

The first two novels by Einzlkind with the titles "Harold" and "Gretchen" were published by the publisher Edition Tiamat (Berlin) by the author Klaus Bittermann . According to the publisher, the author is said to have sent the manuscript for his first work “Harold” to the publisher without prior agreement; Despite thirty years of publishing experience, it was nevertheless accepted and became a surprise success.

Both individual books became bestsellers shortly after their publication. The licenses for foreign editions of "Harold" were sold to Italy, Spain and Korea. In the feature sections of the Frankfurter Rundschau , the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , the Tagesspiegel and the daily newspaper (taz) as well as in the online culture magazine Perlentaucher positive reviews of his works appeared; especially his wit and his “black British humor” were praised. In the audio book series “ Brigitte - stark Voices”, an abbreviated version of “Harold”, read by actor Benno Fürmann , was published in 2011 .

In September 2015, the third novel Einzlkinds with the title "Billy" was published by Insel-Verlag . At almost the same time, the Hamburg audio book publisher published an audio book version with actor Florian von Manteuffel as the narrator.
