Eivind Gullberg Jensen

Eivind Gullberg Jensen (born April 1, 1972 in Horten ) is a Norwegian conductor .

Life

Eivind Gullberg Jensen first studied violin and musicology in Trondheim , followed by studies with Jorma Panula in Stockholm and with Leopold Hager in Vienna. He participated in the Aspen Music Festival 2005 and in master classes with Kurt Masur .

Gullberg Jensen has worked with numerous orchestras at home and abroad, including the Komische Oper , the Zurich Opera House , the English National Opera and the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden , the DSO Berlin , the Vienna Symphony Orchestra , the Mahler Chamber Orchestra , the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin , the Orchester de Paris , the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra , the Orchester National de France , the London Philharmonic Orchestra , the Munich Philharmonic and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig .

From the 2009/2010 season to 2013, Gullberg Jensen was the chief conductor of the NDR Radiophilharmonie and led the orchestra for twelve weeks per season.
