Ekkehard Teichreber

Ekkehard Teichreber (born April 8, 1948 in Bremen ) is a former German cyclist and national cycling champion .

Athletic career

Teichreber was a specialist in cyclo- cross races . At the German championships in 1973 he was runner-up, a few weeks later he won the bronze medal at the UCI world championship in cyclo-cross races in Great Britain . In the year before (as in 1971) he was fourth in the championship. In 1974 he was also successful: he was again runner-up in the national championship, at the world championship he again won bronze. In 1976 and 1977 there was a bronze medal and a silver medal (1977) in the championships in Hanover behind Robert Vermeire from Belgium . He continued the series of second places at the German championships in 1975 and 1976. In 1978 he finally managed to win the amateur championship before Rainer Paus. He started at the beginning of his career for the club RV Hansa Bremen , later for the RRG Bremen . In 1980 he ended his career.

Professional

After his career he ran a bicycle shop in Bremen, the "Teichreber Manufaktur".
