Ekrem Hayyam Dağ [ daː ] (born December 5, 1980 in Mardin , Turkey ) is an Austrian football player of Turkish origin.
Career
society
Dağ began his career in Leibnitz . In 1997 he moved to SK Sturm Graz , where he was part of the professional squad from 2001. On February 19, 2002, he completed his first Bundesliga appearance at Sturm Graz. After 95 league games (ten goals), he moved to Gaziantepspor in 2005 . On June 3, 2008, he got a contract with the Turkish football club Beşiktaş Istanbul , with which he won the Turkish championship and the cup in his first year as a regular player. In the 2010/11 season he and his team won the Turkish Cup for the second time. Before the start of the 2012/13 season, his contract with Beşiktaş was terminated. A few days after this contract termination, he moved to his previous club, Gaziantepspor. In the summer of 2014 he went to the Turkish second division club Şanlıurfaspor and played here for two seasons.
In 2016 he returned to Austria and ended his professional career. In January 2017 he joined the Styrian league club SV Pachern. Since July 2017 he has been the coach of the SV Fladnitz league club. In November 2019 he took up the position of assistant coach at Istanbul Başakşehir FK .
National team
On May 26, 2009 Dağ was nominated for the first time for the squad of the Austrian national team . Due to a shoulder operation, however, he had to cancel his call-up just five days later. He made his team dress debut on March 3, 2010 in a 2-1 win in a friendly against Denmark at the Ernst Happel Stadium . He made a total of ten international matches.
