The yacht Eleonora is an exact replica of the schooner Westward , who as hull number 692 at the shipyard Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. in the March 31, 1910 Bristol , Rhode Iceland , was launched . The Westward was designed by the famous yacht designer Nathanael Herreshoff . With the America's Cup - Skipper Charlie Barr , she sailed very successfully in many regattas against yachts like the Britannia of the English King George V , Lulworth and Meteor II of the German Emperor Wilhelm II.

The Eleonora was built at the Dutch shipyard Van der Graaf BV in Hardinxveld-Giessendam and was launched on March 31, 2000. During the expansion of the replica , the Dutch owner Ed Kastelein attached great importance to the highest levels of luxury and comfort. It took part very successfully in a number of sailing regattas for classic yachts and is mainly used in the charter business in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean (weekly rate: 53,000–70,000 €).
