Elfriede von Nitzsch (born January 26, 1920 in Ilmenau as Elfriede Brunemann , † October 29, 2011 in Celle ) was a German athlete .

biography

Elfriede von Nitzsch was German champion in the long jump in 1943 , 1946 , 1947 and 1949 . In 1946 she was also able to win gold in the pentathlon. At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , she finished 14th in the long jump .

Her husband was the decathlete Klaus von Nitzsch .
