Elia Eisterer-Barceló (born January 29, 1957 in Elda , Alicante province ) is a Spanish writer and literary scholar .

Life

Barceló studied English, American and Spanish studies at the Universities of London , Munich , Paris, Florence , Rome and Innsbruck . In 1996 she did her doctorate on the Argentine writer Julio Cortázar .

Today the mother of two lives with her Austrian husband in Innsbruck. She teaches Spanish literature, regional studies and creative writing at the University of Innsbruck and writes fantastic novels and stories. She has received numerous awards for her work. She regularly takes part in Gijón Black Week , one of the most popular literary festivals in Europe, where she leads the literary workshops.
