Ellen Haußdörfer

Ellen Haußdörfer (born April 24, 1980 in Cottbus ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 2006 to 2016 .

Life

Ellen Haußdörfer did her Abitur at the Humboldt-Gymnasium in Eichwalde . In the winter semester of 2000, she began a teaching degree (L4 senior student council) in the subjects of biology and history at the Humboldt University in Berlin , which she temporarily completed in 2008 with the 1st state examination. At the same time, she began a double degree in 2004, which she completed in 2009 with a BA ( Bachelor of Arts ) in Social Sciences. Since 2009 she has completed a master’s degree in public health at the Berlin School of Public Health, which she finished in 2011.

Since summer 2001 she has been working as an assistant to the management of the German-British Society eV There she organizes the annual Jung Königswinter Conference, which takes place in summer, and looks after the more than 2000 members of the working groups and national groups throughout Germany.

Haußdörfer lives with Oliver Igel , the district mayor of Berlin's Treptow-Köpenick district.

Ellen Haußdörfer has been a member of the SPD since 2002 . She was chairwoman of the Jusos Treptow-Köpenick and from 2006 to 2008 deputy regional chairwoman of the Juso state in Berlin. Since 2008 she has been deputy district chairwoman of the SPD Treptow-Köpenick and a member of the board of the Working Group for Education and the Working Group on Migration in Treptow-Köpenick. She is also the deputy chairwoman of the SPD Altglienicke department and deputy chairwoman of the AWO Treptow-Köpenick.

She was nominated for the Berlin Bundestag list by the SPD Treptow-Köpenick in the 2005 Bundestag elections.

In the Berlin elections in 2006 , she won the constituency of Treptow-Köpenick 3 ( Adlershof and Altglienicke ) with 33.7% of the first votes and moved into the Berlin House of Representatives .

In the elections to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 , she ran again in this constituency and at the same time as the top candidate in the House of Representatives district list of the SPD Treptow-Köpenick . With 34.3% of the votes, she was able to defend her direct mandate.

Haußdörfer was her parliamentary group's spokesperson for urban development policy and a member of the “Urban Development and Environment”, “Building, Housing and Transport” and “Health and Social” committees.

In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , Haußdörfer lost her direct mandate to AfD politician Frank Scholtysek .
