The Ellerbach is an almost 8 km long, northern and left tributary of the Zorge in the area of ​​the city of Ellrich in the Thuringian district of Nordhausen .

The Ellerbach rises north of the 549 m high Stehlenberg and northeast of Sülzhayn in the Südharz Nature Park . It flows through a valley that is initially narrow and later opens to the south towards Appenrode . After leaving the village behind, it is piped up and affects the former manor of Bischofferode . On the western edge of the Himmelsberg , north of Woffleben , it reaches the Zorge flowing from Ellrich.
