The vehicles of type G 3 were freight locomotives of the Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace-Lorraine . They were initially called C21, C22, C23 and C24 .

The machines were based on the Prussian G 3 and had the same dimensions as this. The Crampton kettle , the inner frame, the external Allan control , the horizontal outer cylinders and the standing kettle were also identical. The C21 and C22 were delivered in two series 1882 and 1883 of 12 pieces each, with the second series being reinforced in some parts. These locomotives were the last to come from Esslingen for the Reichseisenbahn .

The following C23 (7 pieces) and C24 (6 pieces) were delivered by Grafenstaden in 1885 and 1892 . They were largely identical to the C21 and C 22.

The locomotives were retired by 1924.

The locomotives were given type 2 T 10.5 tenders .
