The locomotives of the genus T 9 of the kingdom railways in Alsace-Lorraine were tank locomotives the wheel arrangement 1'C. It was initially called the D31, later as the T 8. A total of 132 copies were purchased from 1901 to 1913.

This series was almost identical to the Prussian T 9.3 , only the double-rail crosshead slide was not available. The vehicles were used in both freight and passenger train services. After the First World War, 10 locomotives remained in Germany. In France, the locomotives were retired by 1955.
