Emil Fieser

Emil August Friedrich Fieser (born April 6, 1835 in Sinsheim ; † January 28, 1904 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Fieser attended high schools in Konstanz and Karlsruhe and then studied law at the universities of Heidelberg and Freiburg . In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Suevia in 1854 . In 1864 he became a district judge in Offenburg , in 1868 a public prosecutor first in Villingen , then in 1870 in Constance. From 1879 he was a district judge and from 1882 first public prosecutor in Karlsruhe. In 1890 he became regional court director and in 1898 regional court president in Freiburg.

From 1873 to 1882 and from 1885 to 1900 he was a member of the Baden Second Chamber . Between 1887 and 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Baden 10 (Karlsruhe, Bruchsal ) and the National Liberal Party . As the leading force of the National Liberals in Baden, he took a decisive course against the Catholic Church and he was also the chairman of the Old Catholic Church Fellowship in Baden.
