Emil Oskar Schulz (born June 22, 1846 in Speichrow ; † March 9, 1927 in Cottbus ) was a brewery landowner and, as a city ​​councilor, a member of the city ​​council in Cottbus.

Life

Schulz was born as the eldest son of the brewery owner Johann Gottfried Schulz and his wife Luise Amalie Malvine, b. Töpfer, born, first attended the community school in Lieberose from 1853 to 1857 and then until 1862 the secondary school in Lübben . Stays in Berlin , Stargard and Karlsbad were followed by a visit to the brewery school in Munich . In 1869 Schulz took over the management of his father's brewery, which he sold in 1907 to move to Cottbus. Schulz lived there on Promenade 10 , where he died of a stroke while visiting relatives.

Schulz was married to Juliana Franziska Schulz, b. Reglitz (born October 4, 1856 in Trebatsch , † April 15, 1936 in Rathenow ). The children Ella Margarethe Franziska and Hans Georg Oskar emerged from the marriage.

His younger siblings were the Cottbus city council and architect of numerous Cottbus listed buildings , Ewald Schulz , the city councilor Justizrat Paul Schulz and the businessman Ernst Schulz.

Public offices

From 1875 to 1897 Schulz belonged to the district council of the Lübben district and from 1911 to 1919, as a city councilor for economics, was part of the magistrate.
