Emil von Rappard

Emil von Rappard (* 26. November 1863 in Aplerbeck ; † 26. September 1914 in Sandfontein , Namibia ) was a German Major within the protection force of German South West Africa .

Emil von Rappard came from the noble family von Rappard which the according to tradition Swiss nobility came whose ancestor Johann Heinrich Rappard (born 1410 or 1415) from Rapperswil in the St. Gallen Canton was. In Prussia the family was ennobled in 1791.
