Emily Menges (born July 28, 1992 in Garden City , New York ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2014 season .

Career

society

During her studies at Georgetown University , Menges played from 2010 to 2013 for the local university team of Georgetown Hoyas . In January 2014 she was signed in the third round of the college draft of the NWSL at position 25 of the Portlands franchise and made her debut there on April 12, 2014 in an away win against the Houston Dash .

National team

In December 2013, Menges was first invited to a training camp for the United States U-23 team by coach Steve Swanson .
