Emma Amos

Emma Amos (born August 18, 1967 in Newcastle-under-Lyme , England ) is a British actress .

Life

Amos was taught at the Royal College of Music from 1985 to 1989 . She made her debut as an actress in a minor supporting role opposite Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley in the 1988 drama Rowing in the Wind . She played one of the bigger roles in the 1996 Academy Award- winning drama Lies and Secrets . In the film drama Hidden Fire (1997) she appeared in a larger role on the side of Sophie Marceau and Stephen Dillane .

In the drama The Tribe (1998), in which a London residential community is shown, Amos starred alongside Joely Richardson , Jeremy Northam and Anna Friel . In the following years she took on guest roles in television series as well as larger roles such as in the series The Last Detective , in which she was seen from 2003 to 2007. In addition, she played minor supporting roles in films such as the comedy Bridget Jones - Chocolate for Breakfast (2001) with Renée Zellweger as well as roles in numerous plays. In the 2001 play The Servant , she played the role of the friend of the main character played by Jack Davenport .

Amos is married to actor Jonathan Coy .
