Emma Claesson (nee Engstrand ; born December 14, 1977 in Bollnäs ) is a Swedish orienteer .

Engstrand became Junior World Champion in Belgium in 1997 with the Swedish relay. The following year she won her first Swedish championship (night orienteering) among women. In 2001 it was first used at the World Championships. In her second World Cup participation in Switzerland in 2003, she was fourth in the long distance. As a result, she was able to call up good performances more often. In 2004 at the European Championships in Roskilde , Denmark , she won the sprint bronze and behind Simone Niggli-Luder from Switzerland the silver medal in the long distance. In the World Cup she consistently finished fifth in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2005 she also won the O-ring . In 2009 she took a baby break after marrying Rikard Claesson. In 2010 she was able to successfully attack again with a bronze medal at the World Championships around Trondheim .

Emma Claesson starts for the Stora Tuna IK association . Her home club is Rehns BK from Bollnäs.
