Emmanuel Le Divellec (born September 10, 1966 in Paris ) is a French organist and professor at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media .

Le Divellec studied physics and astronomy at the University of Paris-South from 1985 to 1990 . He also took organ lessons from Anne-Marie Barat . In 1986 he won first prize at the national organ competition Concours National Marcel Dupré in Chartres . From 1988 to 1989 he took piano lessons at the École nationale de Musique d'Orsay . He then studied from 1991 to 1993 at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris (including organ with Marie-Louise Jaquet-Langlais ) and from 1991 to 1995 at the Conservatoire National de Région Boulogne-Billancourt (including with André Isoir and Naji Hakim ).

From 1992 to 1995 he was organist at the parish church of Saint-Jacques-du-Haut-Pas in Paris. From 1994 to 1998 he studied organ with Guy Bovet at the Basel Music Academy , then until 2000 at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis improvisation with Rudolf Lutz and harpsichord with Andrea Marcon . From 1994 to 2000 he was organist at the Catholic Church in Würenlos and at the Reformed Church in Trimbach . He also gave concerts in Europe, Mexico, Japan and the USA and took part in various organ competitions. In 1994 he won second prize in the Concours international d'orgue de Carouge , and in 1997 first prize in the Swiss organ competition.

From 2000 to 2008 Le Divellec was organist at the French Church in Bern . He recorded a CD published in 2009 with works by Johann Sebastian Bach , Alexandre-Pierre-François Boëly and Nicolas de Grigny on this organ. Since 2000 he has been a lecturer at the University of the Arts in Bern and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel.

From 2005 to 2006 he taught as a DAAD guest professor at the Hochschule für Musik Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz .

Le Divellec has been a professor at the Hanover University of Music since 2011.
