Emre Balak (born August 11, 1988 in Merzifon ) is a Turkish football player who currently plays for Kocaeli Birlikspor .

Player career

Balak began playing club football in the youth of his home club Merzifonspor in the northern Turkish city of Merzifon and in 2005 switched to the youth of the traditional Samsunspor club . Here he received a professional contract in the summer of 2005, but was only used in the youth and reserve team for almost two years. Towards the end of the 2006/07 season he was accepted into the professional squad. He made his professional debut on April 8, 2007 at a relegation encounter of the TFF 1st Lig against Mardinspor . From then on he played almost exclusively for the professionals and had made 28 appearances for the professionals by the summer of 2007/08.

For the 2008/09 season he moved to the first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara . Here he came to sporadic missions in his first season as a supplementary player. The second season he was loaned to the second team Gençlerbirliğis, to the second division club Hacettepe SK and played with this club continuously. At the end of the season he returned to Gençlerbirliği and again experienced a mixed season as a substitute.

After his contract with Gençlerbirliği expired, he left this club and hired the second division side Tavşanlı Linyitspor . Here he only played the first half of the season and moved to the third division Kızılcahamamspor for the second half .

In the summer of 2012, his move to the second division Bucaspor was announced.

For the 2014/15 season he moved to third division club Kocaeli Birlikspor .

National team

Balak went through all Turkish youth national teams from the Turkish U-17 . In 2005 he took part with the Turkish U-17 in the U-17 European Football Championship 2005 and ended up winning the tournament. In the same year they took part in the U-17 World Cup in 2005 and finished fourth with their team. The squad included players like Nuri Şahin , Tevfik Köse and Deniz Yılmaz .
